Following an extensive review of the 2021 Johnson MME Albury Wodonga Business Awards, the Joint Board of Albury Business Connect and Business Wodonga (comprising members of both ABC and Business Wodonga) has unanimously agreed to pause the Awards in 2022 and return bigger and better in 2023.
In arriving at this decision, not made lightly, the Joint Board considered the lessons learned from delivering the past two awards ceremonies in the thick of COVID lockdowns and restrictions, and considered feedback from last year’s sponsors, entrants, judges, and other critical stakeholders.
A pause will also take the pressure and load off our wonderful business community – mostly all volunteers – who work tirelessly to bring such a huge undertaking to life, and give the Awards Steering Committee additional time to introduce some exciting changes that will make the Awards simpler for entrants, easier for judges, and more attractive for sponsors to support.
Not all is lost in 2022
Although we are not going to have an Awards ceremony this year, not all is lost, as we will have an alternative event to celebrate our growing Greater Albury Wodonga business community
Save the date, October 14th 2022!!
The Albury Wodonga Business Awards provide local businesses in the region the opportunity to celebrate with their fellow businesses and be recognised for their achievements within the community across a variety of categories.
