Telstra Joins the Albury Wodonga Business Awards as Naming Rights Sponsor for 2023

Following a pause in 2022, the Albury Wodonga Business Awards are back bigger and better in 2023. Albury Business Connect, Business Wodonga and the Albury Wodonga Business Awards committee are excited to announce that Telstra has signed on as the naming rights sponsor of our region’s foremost celebration of excellence in local business.

Telstra Regional General Manager Eastern Victoria Jenny Gray joined AlburyCity Mayor Kylie King, Wodonga Mayor Ron Mildren and representatives from Albury Business Connect and the Albury Wodonga Business Awards committee at Gateway Island to announce the partnership.

“Telstra are extremely proud to be the naming rights sponsor of the 2023 Albury Wodonga Business Awards,” Ms Gray said.

“Telstra has been a long-time supporter of regional Australia and we recognise the importance of fostering and celebrating great businesses and leaders in regional Australia. That’s why we’re here, getting behind this great award.”

A pre-launch event was held at the end of 2022, highlighting the exciting changes to the 2023 awards, including a reduction in the number of categories and a realignment of most awards to key local industries. Judging questions and entry criteria have also been standardised to align with key areas of business excellence and the entry and judging processes have been simplified.

The 2023 Telstra Albury Wodonga Business Awards will recognise 12 outstanding businesses and individuals, along with a Hall of Fame inductee. The categories were chosen after careful review of REMPLAN and council data and ANZIC industry classifications, and are based on the major industries in the Albury-Wodonga region.
