Steve is the Managing Director of Bowen’s Entertainment and has won many business and performance excellence Awards over the past 40 years perfecting his craft as a business owner, professional MC & DJ Entertainer.
Steve has an infectious and energetic performance style that has seen him MC & DJ for all ages across Australia and even internationally including weddings in America, England & New Zealand.
He is currently Vice Chairperson & Founding Member of DJAA (DJ Alliance Australasia) and was inducted to the DJAA ‘Hall of Fame’ in 2024. In 2021 Steve was also inducted into the Albury/Wodonga Business ‘Hall of Fame’ for his outstanding commitment to local business.
He was a founding Board member of the local charity ‘Country Hope’ from 2003 to 2010 supporting children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and continues to be an ambassador of the charity.
Steve is a past board member of Aware Industries (Disability Support), Former Ambassador of Kirinari (aged care & disability support) and a strong advocate for people of all ages and abilities.
Steve was Albury Citizen of The Year in 2007, is a volunteer firefighter with RFS (Rural Fire Service) and President of his local Fire Brigade.
Steve was the Deputy Mayor of AlburyCity 2022-2024.
Steve has a passion for inspiring people and has developed a motivational keynote presentation (and workshop) he calls the “Boomerang Theory… What you throw out, is what comes back!”.
Steve was honoured with The Order of Australia Medal (OAM) on the Queen’s birthday weekend in 2022 (before her passing) acknowledging his outstanding service to the Albury Wodonga community.
